What are the Utah Medicaid Covered Services?
Following are the covered services under Utah Medicaid.
Nursing home and hospital expenses
In the event of an emergency, inpatient or outpatient expenses,Utahwill pay for the medication, doctor’s fees, surgery and all other procedures. It also pays for expenses in nursing home facilities.
Beneficiaries get coverage for dental expenses under the Utah Medicaid plan. Regular visit to dentists and repairing or extraction of teeth are also included.
Family planning and pregnancy
Utah Medicaid pays for pregnancy expenses. This includes prenatal vitamins and medicines, hospitalization expenses, follow-up checks etc. It however doesn’t pay for pregnancy termination.
Utah Medicaid also covers prescription drugs that cure various medical problems. However, it doesn’t cover the drugs for impotence, cessation of smoking, weight loss, hair growth etc.
